Annotation: Hooker doubtfully mentioned “? Pavetta nilagirica Bedd.” as a synonym. Therefore, Webera nilagirica was not published as a new combination, but was published as the name of a new spcies. - K. Gandhi, June 2019.

– Published as "Webera? nilagirica". Hoooker explicitly included the type of Pavetta nilagirica in his circumscription of this species, along with another collection by Thomson. The inclusion of Beddome's type here connects these names nomenclaturally. Hooker noted in comments that the apppopriate genus here could be either Pavetta or Webera, and the two question markes he used correspond to this doubt. - CMT, 10 June 2019
