E. densiflora Pennell and E. flabellata Pennell are closely related and it is diffucult to separate the two taxa. However, the branching in the former taxon begins at some distance from the base and the branches are short and ascending moreover, the internodes are shorter, while in later taxon branching begins at the base, branches are long ascending and internodes are slightly longer.
