Project Data     (Last Modified On 11/29/2014)
Notes: This species is characterized by its reduced stipules, long white corollas, and relatively large fruits with thin-walled pyrenes. It appears to belong to a group of Palicourea species with adaptations for nocturnal pollination (Taylor et al., 2010). Palicourea calidicola is similar to Psychotria eurycarpa, which is found at higher elevations. It is also generally similar to Palicourea psychotrioides.
Distribution: Lowland wet forests from southeastern Nicaragua to western Panama.
