Notes: This species is characterized by its thin-textured acuminate leaves, bilobed stipules, racemiform inflorescences, corollas that are curved in the tube, and didymous fruits. It is generally similar to Palicourea spicata, which has more congested inflorescences and leaves with shorter apices.
Distribution: Wet forest vegetation at 125-500 m in the western Amazon basin, southern Colombia through eastern Ecuador to northeastern Peru.
