Notes: This species is characterized by its leaves with the venation characteristic of Sect. Tricephalium, bilobed stipules, pedunculate inflorescences that are branched at one or two nodes with the axes apparently flattened, and corolla lobes with puberulous appendages or flanges on the abaxial surfaces. It is distinctive but not well documented.
Distribution: Wet forest at 100-400 m in Guyana.
