Notes : This species is characterized by its medium-sized elliptic leaves, cymose terminal inflorescences, flowers in cymes with the terminal flower sessile to pedicellate, white corollas with tubes 7-11.5 mm long, and medium-sized fruits. Ixora guillenii is similar to Ixora froelichiana and Ixora funckii, both of which have larger corollas.
Distribution : Wet forest in flooded areas and terra firme at 150-220 m in the southwestern Amazon basin, in Brazil and Bolivia.
