A very small 3 – 4  cm erect herb, with thick, blackish remnants of leaves at the base, densely cobwebby. Leaves glabrous, greyish-green, c. 3 cm long, upper ones spathulate, lower ones slightly lobed, lateral lobes obtuse-triangular, terminal lobe longer, c. 10 x c. 7 mm, rounded above; petiole yellowish, angular. Capitulum c. 8 mm across. Scapes 3, densely cobwebby. Involucre narrow, 9 x 6 mm, yellowish-green; outer phyllaries ovate, little cobwebby, erose, broadly white-marginate, laxly appressed, c. 4 mm long; inner ones broadly linear to linear-lanceolate, c. 6 x c. 1.5 mm, narrowly white marginate, erose, callose little below the apex. Receptacle with c. 1 mm long cilia. Ligules yellowish, purplish striate outside. Anthers polliniferous. Styles and stigma yellow. Cypsela 5.5 x 0.8 mm, ribbed, with few and small tubercles above; beak 0.6 – 1.8  mm long; pappus c. 2.5 mm long, white, fragile, caducous.
