Distribution: A section of 2-3 species occurring mainly in S. W. Asia. One species is doubtfully reported from Pakistan.

Small, slender herbs. Petioles not winged. Involucre phyllaries smooth to corniculate, outer ones appressed, dark green to blackish. Ligules yellow. Anthers usually polliniferous. Styles/ stigmas yellow. Cypselas greyish to straw brown, 4.5 – 5.5  mm long, ridged, smooth or almost so; cone indistinct or very gradually formed; beak 0.5 – 1.5  mm long; pappus 3.5 – 4.5  mm long, yellowish or brownish-pinkish.
