Notes :

This species is characterized by its rather fleshy, apparently unbranched and rather low habit, leaves with the venation mostly not visible, rounded stipules, and subcapitate inflorescences enclosed by well developed involucral bracts. It has been collected infrequently. In general aspect it is similar to Notopleura tapajozensis, Notopleura nivea, Notopleura sandwithiana, and Carapichea urniformis. Lachenaud & Delprete (2022: 295-296) presented a descriptoin of this species.

Distribution : Wet forest vegetation at 80-400 m in Guyana.
