Discussed under #Senna pallida# [=#S. galegifolia# (see Lourteig, 1988a: 400; Reveal, 1992)] by Irwin & Barneby (1982) as a "nom. ambig." indicating that it was based on cultivated material. Reveal (1992) proposed that this name and #C. galegifolia# should be rejected. The Flora of Peru included #C. nemorosa# H.B.K. [=#S. galegifolia# (Lourteig, 1988a)] in synonymy under #C. biflora#.
