Perennial erect shrub, young branches serecious. Leaf paripinnately rarely imparipinnately compound, petiole c. 2-5 mm long, rachis (excluding the petiole) c. 7-13 mm long, persistent, becoming indurated and spiny. Leaflets 6-8, c. 3.5-6 mm long, c. 2.5-6 mm broad, obovate, entire, cuneate, appressly pilose on both sides, petiolule less than 1 mm long, stipules lateral, c. 1 mm long, pubescent, becoming hard and spiny. Inflorescence an axillary pedunculate raceme, peduncle c. 2.5 cm or less long, bract 1 mm long, pubescent, pedicel c. 1-1.5 mm long, pubescent, hairs white and black. Calyx c. 4-5 mm long, pubescent, hairs white or black and white, teeth c. 0.5 mm long. Corolla yellow. Vexillum c. 9-11 mm long. Fruit c. 11-15 mm long, c. 4-4.5 mm broad, tapering at both ends, glabrous biolcular; stipe c. 4-6 mm long.
