Description: Outer tepals without dark blotches or markings; lower tepals sometimes with yellow, often red-margined blotch or small dark spot or median line in throat.
Country: South Africa
South African Province: Western Cape
Distribution and ecology: mainly in the western part of the range of the species and historically recorded as far west as the Cape Peninsula but now possibly extinct there and encountered mainly between Caledon and Bredasdorp and Struisbaai, but also occurring in populations further east near Swellendam, Riversdale and Albertinia.
Diagnosis: distinguished by the lack of prominent, dark blotches on the outer tepals, although a small yellow or dark spot may be developed on the lower median tepal.
