Annotation: specific epithet of basionym, 'polyneuron', is either a Greek neuter substantive epithet or has a neuter Greek adjectival termination, but combination published as Thyroma 'polyneura' with feminine Latin adjectival termination; ICN Art. 23.5 requires that adjectival specific epithet agree in gender with generic name, but gives no authority to change termination from Greek to Latin form. Correct Greek feminine adjectival termination is -os (see Nicolson in Taxon 35: 326. 1986); if the basionym epithet is accepted (contrary to Miers) as substantival, and/or if the genus name Thyroma is construed (contrary to botanical convention) as neuter, then T. polyneuron would be correct, but in no case can 'Thyroma polyneura' be correct
