Distribution: Distribution: China (N.W. Xingiang), Afghanistan, Kazakstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Iran.
Comment/Acknowledgements: I have not seen seen any specimen from Pakistan. However, it has been reported from Pakitan by Xinqi & Mordak (l.c.).

Bulb diameter c. 1 cm. Bulbils and stolons unknown. Stem 10-35 cm, papillose. Leaves 5-8, lower two, subopposite, 4-6 x 0.8-1.5 cm, lanceolate, other leaves linear, 2.5-3 cm x 1-5 mm, acute. Bracts 2 at the base of pedicel, linear. Flowers slightly zygomorphic. Pedicel 7-12 mm. Tepals 1-1.5 cm x 3-5 mm rose violet, spotted or tessellated with dark colour, oblong-ovate. Nectary on outer tepal much larger than others and spuned abaxially. Stamens slightly shorter than tepals, filaments usually papillose proximally; anthers subglobose or broadly ovate, c. 1.2 mm in diameter. Style scarcely lobed. Capsule wingless
