Comment/Acknowledgements:
The cucumber tree is widely cultivated and naturalised in some places in India. To be expected here and may well be cultivated sparingly as far up north as Lahore. The fruit is edible and can be preserved in sugar or sometimes pickled. The fruit can also be used as an astringent; when cooked it is useful for piles and scurvy.

Resembles the preceding species from which it can be distinguished by the larger number of leaflets; the smaller fruit with rounded lobes and the seeds without an aril.
