Oplismenus hirtellus ssp. setarius (Lam.) Mez ex Ekman, Ark. Bot. 11(4): 26. 1912; Panicum setarium Lam.; O. setarius (Lam.) Roem. & Schult.

Racimos 3–5, el más inferior hasta 0.4 cm de largo, cada uno generalmente con 4–8 espiguillas densamente agrupadas. Arista de la gluma inferior 4–9 mm de largo.

Conocida en Nicaragua por una sola colección (Pipoly 4390) del Cerro Waylawás, Zelaya; 80 m; fl y fr mar; pantropical.
