Ubatuba: 15 km NE of Ubatuba near Praia do Lázaro, 23.22S, 44.55W, alt. 15, undisturbed forest at edge of maountain stream, roacky ledges abundant, vegetation dense, the very shaded undergrowth consisting principally of Begonia, Dorstenia, ferns, shrubs of Rubiaceae, abundant rhizomatous grasses growing on rocky ledges, a few culms in flower but most inflorescences past maturity, seedlings common, 16 May 1972
