Group: Dicot Rank: subspecies Kind: Name with Basionym (New Combination and Rank) Herbarium Placement: Lehmann, lower, E, 77

Authors: Published In: The Plants of southern New Jersey 422. 1911[1912]. (Jan 1912) (Pl. S. New Jersey) Name publication detailView in Biodiversity Heritage Library
Annotation: The rank should be subsp. Stone simply gives trinomials, but in the introductory material, in discussing codes of nomenclature, he only mentions "sub-species" never varieties. His admiring comments about the zoologists' code makes me think he means subspecies as well. See pp. 34-35 here: http://www.biodiversitylibrary.org/item/32094#page/9/mode/1up. -T.
