Type Specimens
  • NT: Juan Javier Ortiz-Diaz - 2489 - UADY. (UADY) NT designated by Ortiz-Diaz & Ancona in Ulloa Ulloa et al. (2024).
  • T: Houstoun s.n.; Mexico: state unknown [Campeche?] Cited as "type" by Howard, J. Arnold Arbor. 40: 190 (1959), but there is no known original material associated with this name. This could be a first step neotypification, if the BM sheets are a single gathering. There are two sheets at BM with no annotations beyond genus, neither has indications online it was seen by Jacquin or Howard. Howard (1992) refers to the Howard (1959) as place of typification and does not designate a specific BM sheet here.
