Description
|
Glabrous, herbaceous vines. Leaves elliptic or narrowly elliptic, occasionally oblong or ovate, somewhat fleshy, glaucous; petioles 3-8 mm long, the blades 5-9 cm long and 0.5-3.8 cm broad. Inflorescences umbellate, 10-40-flowered; peduncles 5-12 cm long; pedicels thin, mostly ca. 2 cm long. Flowers with the calyx deeply lobed, the lobes 1.0-1.5 mm long and 0.5-0.8 mm wide, ovate, the margins ciliate, otherwise glabrous; corolla white or greenish-white, short sal- verform, the tube ca. 2 mm long, slightly but noticeably constricted at the ori- fice, the lobes ovate, obtuse, the margins ciliate, puberulent inside, glabrous out- side, 4-6 mm long and ca. 2.5 mm wide; the fleshy annular ring prominent, adnate to the corolla and bases of the corona vesicles, the vesicles ovoid, pointed, 1.5-2.0 mm long; gynostegium ca. 2 mm high; ovaries glabrous. Follicles to 10 cm long, 1 cm in diameter, glabrous.
