Nomenclature Reason: presumably nomen; also, teste Rechb., Iconogr. Bot. Exot. 59, pl. 85, 1827. [presumably nomen and publication neither seen nor found, with Berlin Index Semina seeming to be only (widely) distributed 20 years thereafter, see Nicolson, Smithsonian Contr. Bot. 77:40. 1991 who said binomial is better attributed to Sprengel. The sometimes alluded to "Wolf" was not traceable to any known "Wolf" so presumably is not "NM Wolf" as earlier entered on tropicos and who died in 1784, before the species is known to have been discovered. jp-2012]
