Kuhnia eupatoroides var. corymbulosa Torr. & A. Gray

Involucre 9–15 mm long, the middle and outer series of bracts mostly less than 1/2 as long as the inner series, narrowed or tapered to a sharply pointed but not hairlike or contorted tip. Disc florets 15–35. 2n=18. July–October.

Scattered in the state, but absent from most of the Ozark and Mississippi Lowlands Division (Ohio to Arkansas west to Montana and Arizona). Upland prairies, sand prairies, loess hill prairies, glades, savannas, openings of mesic to dry upland forests, ledges and tops of bluffs, and banks of streams and rivers; also pastures, old fields, fallow fields, and roadsides.
