Notes:
This species is characterized by its medium=sized elliptic leaves with short petioles, small stipules, axillary and terminal inflorescences with 1-several pedunculate flowers, lobed calyx limb, and corollas with the tube perhaps about as long as the lobes. Faramea oligantha is similar in Brazil to Faramea biflora, Faramea pedicellaris, and Faramea coerulea, and perhaps to Faramea anisodonta.
