Notes:

This species is characterized by its medium-sized rather thin-textured leaves, sessile to shortly pedicllate 4-merous flowers, white to pale yellow corollas with the tube ca. 29 mm long, and rather slender mmedium-sized fruits. The identity of this species is not entirely clear; it was recognized by Anunciação (2004) based on 6 collections and with the comment that it is difficult to separate from Ferdinandusa rudgeoides.

Distribution: Wet lowland forest in the central Amazon basin, usually on sandy soils, in the area of Manaus and upriver along the Uaupés in Brazil (Amazonas).
