Texas 10: 422, 2016, designated a lectotype for this species, G [G00300780], but this is a specimen from the Bosser general herbarium at G, and a specimen of the single colletction cited in the protologue is deposited in Candolle's personal herbarium, G-DC, and annotated with this name and they did not explain why this is not the holotype
