Notes:

The identity of this species is not entirely clear, ss discussed by Taylor et al. (2020).  It was based on a plant cultivated in the Colvill nursery in London, which was thought to have come from Brazil. It may apply to Psychotria carthagenensis, but its protologue information could equally well apply to Psychotria formosa.
