Notes: This species has generally erect, low, perhaps annual stems from a large, woody, underground stem or xylopodium. Sabicea moorei is included within the circumscription of Sabicea humilis based on the unpublished study of Khan (2007).
Distribution: Seasonal open vegetation at 0-900 m, in savanna, cerrado, and apparently gallery vegetation, in central Brazil (Amazonas, Mato Grosso) and eastern and northeastern Bolivia (Beni, Santa Cruz).
