Notes: This species is characterized by its hirtellous pubescence, rather well developed leaves, laminar stipules, pyramidal yellow inflorescences, tubular-funnelform yellow corollas, and obovoid fruits. It belongs to the Palicourea lasiorrhachis complex or group.
Distribution: Wet premontane and montane forest at 1200-2300 m, southern Costa Rica and western Panama.
