Notes: This species is characterized by its rather slender habit, rather small leaves, short interpetiolar stipules, rather short pyramidal inflorescences, and rather small fruits. It is only known from twp specimens, which do not have flowers. This species is probably similar to or conspecfic with another, better documented species from northwestern Colombia, such as Psychotria cajambrensis, but the information now available about it is not adequate to evaluate this.
Distribution: We premontane forest at 1300-1500 m, eastern Panama.
