Notes:
Andersson (1998: 62) was not able to clarify the identity of this name. It has been synonymized with Cinchona pubescens, but Andersson noted that its type (unlocated) was collected by Poeppig and all other Poeppig collections of Cinchona from Peru belong to Cinchona nitida.
