Notes: No original material of this name has been seen, and it may have been known from a single specimen at B that has been destroyed. Several elements of the protologue description do not agree with Faramea, in particular the pilosulous pubescence on the lower leaf surface and the flowers sessile or subsessile in hirtellous heads of 10-20 and the corollas with the lobe convolute in bud. The identity of this name is not entirely clear, but it generally agrees rather well with Ixora peruviana so is synonymized with that species.
Distribution: Sierra del Divisor in northeastern Peru (Loreto).
