Notes : This species is characterized by its rather slender pubescent habit, bilobed stipules, short, densely flowered, blue inflorescences with well developed narrow bracts, and funnelform blue corollas. It is generally similar to Palicourea azurea.
Distribution : Premontane and montane wet forest vegetation from central Ecuador through northern Peru.
