Notes: This species belongs to Hillia subg. Ravnia, and is apparently pollinated by hummingbirds. It is not well known. The collection data report that this species grows in areas subject to flooding by fast-moving streams, and it has the characterstic relatively narrow leaves of species of that environment; it is the only species of Hillia known from this habitat.
Distribution: On rocks in periodically inundated edges of streams and rivers, in wet premontane vegetation at ca. 1200 m, Guayana Highlands of Venezuela.
