Notes
:
This species is characterized by its medium-sized leaves (for Manettia), extensively twining habit, calyx lobes 5-12 mm long and 6 to usually 8 per flower, and its slender corollas with well developed tubes 11-16 mm long with the lobes about half as long as the tube. The corollas are white or sometimes flushed with blue or purple. This species is only known from central Panama. Manettia longicalyina is similar to Manettia reclinata, which is found mostly at lower elevations and has red to deep pink corollas with slightly shorter lobes.
