Notes : This species is characterized by leaves that are clustered near the base and an exceptionally large, diffusely branched inflorescence.
Distribution : Seasonal open vegetation in northeastern Brazil (Pará), in the Serra de Carajas where the flora has a high degree of local endemism due to an unusual iron-rich substrate.
