Note: Type specimen at NY is a mixed collection as noted by Liogier in annotation: fruits of Stenostomum with foliage of another family, perhaps Malpighiaceae; the type specimen at A appears to be a disarticulated plant of Stenostomum; the mixed NY specimen is generally regarded at the holotype but this name seems not to have been lectotypified
