Notes:
This species is characterized by its robust habit, densely hirtellous or tomentulous pubescence, rather large leaves with well developed petioles, well developed interpetiolar stipules, subcapitate to congested-cymose inflorescences with well developed peduncles and the flowers arranged in heads or glomerules enclosed by well developed bracts, somewhat well developed corollas with horns on the lobes, and somewhat large fruits. It is known from a small geographic area. Psychotria sixaolensis is generally similar to Psychotria hamiltoniana and Psychotria insignis.
