Distribution: Armenia, Turkey, Iran, C. Asia and Pakistan.
Comment/Acknowledgements: This species is recorded for the first time from Pakistan.

Erect, annual herb, c. 7 cm tall, unbranched. Cauline leaves c. 6 x 3 mm, ovate, 3-lobed, with truncate base; lobes acuminate, longer than broad, all lobes antrorse. Flowering begins at node 2-3. Racemes lax. Floral leaves similar to cauline leaves but elliptic with cuneate base, c. 6 x 3 mm long. Flowers c. 9 mm long; pedicels c. 1 mm long. Calyx c. 4.5 mm long; lobes c. 2 x 0.5 mm long, equal; tube c. 2.5 mm long. Corolla violet, dorsally c. 8 mm long; tube c. 4 mm long; upper lip externally slightly pubescent. Upper lip c. 3 mm long. Lower lip c. 4 mm long; lobes obovate-oblong, obcordate, erose-deeply notched, middle lobe largest c. 4 x 2 mm, left and right lobes equal, left lobe c. 3 x 1.5 mm, right lobe c. 3 x 1.5 mm. Two anthers with unequal awns, two with equal awns; hairs short, equalling the longer awn. Capsule c. 4.5 x 2 mm, oblong, retuse, subequal to the calyces, ciliate at the upper part; cilia stiff. Seeds 5-9 per capsule, 1.3-1.5 x 0.2-0.67 mm.
