Perennial, pubescent or subglabrous, upto 10 cm high herb. Roots cylindric, branched. Stem absent or weak, base of stem covered with remains of leaves. Leaves 0.5-0.3 x 0.5-2.5 cm, orbicular or ovate rounded, cordate or notched at base, obtusish, crenate, hairy, with reddish-brown colour glands, petiolate, petiole of basal rosette upto 2.5 cm, 0.5-1.0 cm of upper leave petioles. Stipules 0.2-1.5 x 0.1-02 cm, lanceolate, acuminate, fimbriate to dentate-ciliate, slightly adnate. Peduncle mostly hairy, upto 4.0 cm long; bracteoles 2, opposite or subopposite, above the middle of the peduncle, acute to acuminate, setaceous. Flowers small, 1.0-1.5 cm long, violet. Sepals 5.0-8.0 x 1.0-2.0 cm, lanceolate-ovate, acute, slightly pubescent, entire-subentire. Petals obovate, obtuse, cuneate, entire, lateral bearded, lower slightly small. Spur prominent, small c. 3-4 mm long, straight, obtuse. Ovary ovate, 2.0 x 1.0 mm, glabrous; style 2.5 x 0.5 mm, papillose at summit; stigma beaked pointing upward. Capsule sub-glabrous, c. 7.0 mm long.
