Un género pequeño subtropical mediterráneo con 3-4 especies; dos especies en el Neotrópico. Sólo una especie registrada en Bolivia, asociado con los valles secos interandinos y áreas montanas abiertas, probablemente extendiéndose en la puna. Traducción por C. Aldana (LPB) y J. Opisso (USM).
 
A small subtropical-Mediterranean genus of 3-4 species; two species in the Neotropics. A single species is recorded for Bolivia, associated with the dry inter-Andean valleys and open montane, probably extending into the puna.

Epidermal pores 35-500 µm in diameter, bound by 1 ring of 6-7 cells, radial walls strongly thickened; appendages of ventral scales broad-based, triangular with basal, pluricellular teeth; antheridia in irregular groups on dorsal side of thallus (NW Argentina, may be found in Bolivia) … T. stellaris
