Habitat: on moist soil in alpine regions; alt. 2000–4100 m.

Distribution: endemic to China.

general taxon notes:

Pogonatum pergranulatum is mainly distributed in southwestern China. It is characterized by the double apical and subapical cells of the lamellae.
