Notes     (Last Modified On 3/30/2009)
general taxon notes:
The leaves of this species are similar to those of Leptopterigynandrum incurvatum Broth., but leaf bases of L. austro-alpinum are rather wide and nearly ovate-triangular and leaf cells wider and shorter. B. C. Tan and Y. Jia (1997) synonymized L. stricticaule Broth. under the current species. They also considered the Himalayan L. decolor (Mitt.) Buck to be a likely synonym of this species.
