Symb. Sin. 4: 96. 4f. 1. 1929. Type. China: Sichuan (Setschwan), Mu-li Co., Handel-Mazzetti 7365 (holotype H).
Plants delicate, yellowish green, in loose mats. Stems prostrate, up to 4–5 cm long, loosely pinnately branched, with abundant brownish rhizoids; branches up to 5 mm long, erect-spreading, densely foliate. Leaves erect spreading, slightly concave, widely ovate or ovate-lanceolate, narrow at apex, mostly secund, up to ca. 0.75 mm long; margins entire, narrowly revolute near base; costa lacking or short and double; leaf cells oblong-ovate, smooth; alar cells small and quadrate, thick-walled. Dioicous. Sporophytes not seen.
