Notes     (Last Modified On 3/27/2009)
general taxon notes:
This widely distributed species is the most common Haplohymenium. Its habit and size are variable. The leaves are very similar to those of Anomodon; however, the slender appearance of the plants and the imbricate leaves separate it from the species of Anomodon. Haplohymenium pseudo-triste is very close to H. triste morphologically, except that the plants of the former species are much more slender.
