Bryum pallescens is usually found in dense tufts, the leaves, often twisted when dry, are ovate- to oblong-lanceolate, margins revolute to near the apex, costa often stoutly long excurrent, laminal cells relatively thick-walled, short rectangular the base, sexual condition is autoicous or possibly synoicous.
Bryum pallescens generalmente se encuentra en manojos densos, las hojas, frecuentemente torcidas en seco, son ovado- a oblongo-lanceoladas, márgenes revolutos hasta cerca del ápice, costa a menudo firme, largo excurrente, células de la lámina con paredes relativamente gruesas, corto rectangulares en la base, la condition sexual es autoica o posiblemente sinoica.
