Ecology: Open montane to páramo and humid puna; mostly wet, seepy or boggy habitats, on soil, humus and rocks. Elevation: 1400-4900 m (Venezuela: 3400-4100 m, Colombia: 1400-3730 m, Ecuador: 2400-3820 m, Peru: 2000-4500 m, Bolivia: 2200-4900 m). Distribution: Widespread in the northern and southern temperate regions, in the tropics mostly in mountainous regions.
Ecología: Probablemente desde regiones montanas abiertas hasta páramo y puna; en sitios mayormente húmedos, pantanosos o con filtraciones, sobre suelo, humus y rocas. Elevación: 1400-4830 m (Venezuela: 2200-4100 m, Colombia: 1400-3730 m, Ecuador: 2400-3820 m, Perú: 2000-4500 m, Bolivia: 2200-4830 m). Distribución: Ampliamente distribuida, el los trópicos mayormente en regiones montañosas.
Bryum pseudotriquetrum is a medium sized plant, leaves ± distant and equally spaced along the stem, ovate-short lanceolate (ca. 3-4 mm long), leaf base usually distinctly decurrent, margins strongly recurved to near apex and border by 2-3 rows of long, linear cells (often obscured by the recurved margins). Bryum semi-marginatum Hampe is a synonym.
Bryum pseudotriquetrum es una planta mediana, hojas ± distantes y dispuestas uniformemente a lo largo del tallo, corto-ovado lanceoladas (ca. 3-4 mm de largo), base de la hoja por lo general conspicuamente decurrente, márgenes marcadamente recurvados hasta cerca del ápice y bordeado por 2-3 filas de células largas, lineares (a menudo escondidas por los márgenes recurvados).
