Annotation: The genus Pandanus Parkinson was decribed in the first edition of Parkinson's Journal, published in London in 1773 by Stanfield Parkinson at page 76. This journal was reprinted in 1784 by C. Dilly in London where Pandanus tectorius Parkinson appears on page 46. Parkinson established the gender of the genus as masculine, see ICN Art. 62.1 (Melbourne Code).
