Tall trees. Leaves bipinnate, leaflets small, many; stipules caducous. Inflores¬cence terminal raceme or panicle. Bract generally caducous. Calyx segments 5, imbricate, subequal. Petals 5, slightly unequal, imbricate. Stamens 10, free, fila¬ments hairy at the base, anthers uniform. Ovary sessile, 2-many ovuled, style subulate, stigma peltate. Fruit oblong, flat, indehiscent, 1-4 seeded; seeds compres¬sed.
