Plants biennial, rarely annual. Leaves compound. Peduncles axillary and terminal. Involucre of a few bracts or lacking. Rays few to many. Involucel of linear bractlets. Petals white to greenish. Stylopodium shortly conical; styles short, erect or reflexed. Fruit oblong to ovoid; ridges prominent; furrows 1-vittate; commissure 2-vittate. Inner seed face plane.
