Notes:
This name was published with three species from Brazil, but it is similar to Ferdinanda Lag. (1816) so this genus was then re-named Ferdinandusa by Pohl himself a few years later. Some authors continued to use Ferdinandea, while most adopted Ferdinandusa. A binding decision was eventually issued by the Nomenclature Committee for Vascular Plants that Ferdinandea is an illegitimate homonym and thus may not be used (Applequitst, 2013).
